ADR consists of the several methods used to resolve legal conflicts outside of traditional courtroom litigation. Avoiding an eventual trial by jury, parties involved in a dispute work with a neutral third party, such as a mediator or arbitrator, to reach a mutually acceptable resolution. ADR methods include negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
